Sitting on your arse for 8 hours and broken busses

For the past week I have suffered from constant nerves, not for any bad reason, I'm just itching to get started.   So I rose at 5 this morning and walked what seemed like halfway across Barcelona to the bus station.  We set off on time and all seemed to be going well until we got to the bus changeover in Zaragozza.  Left waiting for half an hour we were told that the bus had broken down between somewhere an nowhere which ment we would have to wait for another hour or two.   Still here waiting......  Once it does arrive I have another 3 hours of looking out of a window.

  1. Next time you should try the AVE. It takes only some 90 minutes from BCN to Zaragoza, including no-congestion-guarantee, and it offers moderate prices (25-40 euros). Contrary to what some people might think, it's reliable and not a rip-off transport...

  2. Just a final example: Train ALVIA 00530, departure on Tuesday 1 September at 3.30 pm, arrival in Irun at 9.35 pm, still available for some 35 euros.
